This customized Colt is an early, successful, effort to shorten the grip of the pistol for improved concealment. The work is expertly and perfectly carried out by an unknown craftsman.

Additional modifications include stippling the front strap in the Clark manner and a Swenson style thumb safety.

While a standard 1911 magazine may be used, an original magazine has been expertly shortened.

This early conversion was recently completed with the addition of a Caspian (unmarked) Commander slide.
