Blue Finish has faded to gray consistent with holster wear and shooting.

Bore is bright and sharp.

Replacement walnut grips are in perfect condition and of the highest quality.

Left side of frame is marked with the winged bullet and 455 Cordite.

Top of the barrel is marked P. Webley & Son, London & Birmingham.

Right side of the frame is marked with the serial number.

The right side of the frame has also been engraved: J.R.M. Wilson over S.S.S.T.C.  R.E. (This is likely, Southwick Survey School Training Center Royal Engineers).

A range case is included with this gun it is covered in Brown Mail and trimmed in leather. Brown mail refers to a heavy, coarse canvas.

Internally, the case is in good condition lined in red baize and includes a screwdriver and key.

Externally it is stained and scuffed showing areas of torn stitching commensurate with frequent use. It is nevertheless sound and usable.

Any case fitted for a Fosbery is rare and desirable.
